Faith Verse Christmas Blog Hop - November 30, 2011

Hello Friends!

Welcome to my blog! Today we are here to give God the glory for what is the real reason of the season with our favorite verse for Christmas that means so much to us...please read and enjoy the creations these wonderful ladies did on their blog.  Now lets get this party started!

If you came from the fabulous Miss Lynne's blog then you are in the right place if you happened upon my blog then start at Kari's at PurpleFuntastick Creations...don't want you missing a thing!

We have a prize to give away, there will be 3 digi stamps of the winners choice from Jen's Digi Stamps.

To win you must comment on every blog along the way...easy peasy! :)

My project today is a Accordion card that I will have printed for my parents mantel as a Christmas Present. I have always been in love with the birth of our Savior and chose Matthew 2:1-2 as my verse. The birth of Jesus holds so much promise in our lives. It was a story of the coming of our King but also the anticipation of all that He was to do in His short ministry. I am so grateful for His birth and most importantly His resurrection. What a miracle! Here is a picture of my project:

I used Creative Memories digital software, Storybook Creator. If you would like to try this free for 30 days, please use the link and email me with any questions :) Here is the image of some of the accordion images available:

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have been inspired and remember the important reason for the season! :)

Your next stop is the spectacular Miss Shawnee

Until next time, be blessed and....

Sweet Stamping Treats Christmas

Top o' the Morning to you all. Oh, wait... that is the wrong holiday. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our neighborhood and it is getting me in the mood for Christmas cards. I love snowpeople and here is Mr. Snowman for you.
The little bluebird just made my day!!! I am waiting on my Marvy pen to make my snowpeople more snowy so the trusty Crayols colored pencils came out. The scrollwork around the sentiment is from Stampin' Up as is the adhesive rhinestones. All the papers were from my Scraps as was the ribbons. I hope that you enjoyed my card and that you stop by Sweet Stamping Treats to see what the other creative team members made. Until next time......

Jen's Digi Stamps Merry n Bright Christmas card

Greeting all and I just had to share this card I made using one of Jen's Digi Stamps. Today's theme is Merry n Bright and it is no secret that I love snowpeople. So how could I resist making these. Here are my cards:

Here is another version that is more traditional:
I used some of the Creative Memories papers that my friend gave me. The ribbon is Stampin' Up I believe. I colored these with my colored pencils and used Rangers Stickles to accent the snow and fur of his hat. My silver gel pen just gave the mat some oomph!. I certainly hope that you hop over to Jen's Digi Stamps to see all the fabulous stamps that are only a $1.00. Today, Jen is running a special Cyber Monday sale today; buy 3 digis and get one free! How can you go wrong :) Until next time....

Guest Designer: Faith Verse Group

Happy holidays all and welcome to my guest designer spot for Kari's Faith Verse Group. I wish that all my projects could come together this easily. The verse just spoke to me and I went from there. I chose Isaiah 40:31 which says "... those who hope in the LORD     will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles;     they will run and not grow weary,     they will walk and not be faint." Here is the layout I made:
On Eagle's Wings by Michael Joncas
I decided to go simple with this layout and used my Creative Memories Storybook Creator software. I love how I can take a picture file and make it opaque in the background. The song in the background is an old hymn from my Childhood, "On Eagles' Wings". The words that stand out for me are:

"And He will raise you up on eagle's wings,
Bear you on the breath of dawn,
Make you to shine like the sun,
And hold you in the palm of His Hand."
Even during our darkest hours, we can pray and feel Him raising us up. I cannot tell you how many times this has happened for me and I am so grateful for it. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This includes raising a family without a job right now . I thank Kari for having me as a Guest Designer today and pray that all is well in your neck of the woods. Please stop be her blog HERE and bless her as well.  May you be blessed today and always. Until next time....

JME Creations Color Challenge Design Team Challenge

Greetings all :) Today is a great day over at JME Creations. Today's challenge was Pink and Brown. Well, I decided to think outside the box with this one (thanks to my friend Lynne of Her Craftiness). This is the first time I have totally paper pieces a card where I hand cut all the pieces. Can you see the pink and brown?
The cat, sign and wood pile are just clip art that I resized and pop dotted. For the fireplace grate I trimmed this gold paper that I had in my scrap pile and ran it through my Xyron sticker maker (1.5"). I used my black marker to give the "bars" dimension. I added white paper on the inside to stamp a sentiment. I have not decided whether or not make this a Christmas card or a housewarming card. I will file it for now and add the sentiment later. I hope that you have enjoyed my project and that you will pop on over to JME Creations to see what my fellow team members have made. Until next time....

The main blog candy being offered is Blog Candy will be various Christmas cuts of Hello Kitty along with a Red and Green Stick Pin.....

I am so happy to be in this hop with such talented women who I can also call friends. Lynne recruited me for this hop and I used my least favorite cartridge . Well, I decided to use the card option from Hello Kitty Greetings and, of course, made the snowman! The card was cut at 5 1/2". I wish I knew why this cartridge frustrates me so. I decided to have him sit in front of a Christmas gift bag :)

Happy Black Friday all and I hope that your Thanksgiving was a great one!

I hinted earlier in the week to by big announcement and what is bigger than Black Friday (well there is Cyber Monday too). So without further delay, I wanted to announce that I have become a Creative Memories independent consultant! I am so excited to bring high quality product that is different from other companies out there. I have been using their digital scrapbooking software, Storybook Creator, and love all that I can do with it. You can even change the paper color to suit your needs! It is so incredible. If you click the link above you can download the free 30 day trial. If you have questions, just let me know.
The one product I COULD NOT wait to share with you is for those with younger children in their lives. Whether it be your own, a niece or nephew, cousin or grandchild this is a must have for the holiday season. I recently found my memory box in the basement and loved looking through the projects I made and the family newspaper I made with my cousin. Well, the Dear Santa Simply Said book, will bring the child warm memories to share with their family when they grow. They are selling like hotcakes! They are on sale this month for $12.75. Your child completes the book for Santa... draws a map so Santa can get to your house, draws a picture of Rudolph, tells Santa what they did good this year and what they can do better for next year, tells Santa what their family is doing for Christmas, etc.... and at the end has a place for the "Official" Christmas list! A great keepsake! If you would like more information, contact me!!!!

You can preview the pages right HERE. You can order them from this link: Dear Santa. And speaking of Santa, does the Santa in your life not know what to get you for Christmas? Is there something that you specifically want from Creative Memories. Well, I can make that holiday shopping even easier! All you need to do is go to the website HERE and click the shop button. There is something for everyone! Then, just email me at suenj99 at yahoo dot com (replace the words at and dot) with your wish list items and who you would like me to contact (with their email or mailing address). I would be happy to be your personal elf this holiday season.

I will be sharing another post about a special that runs November 25th to November 28th that I do not want you to miss out on. Thanks for sharing my excitement for this new venture and I look forward to being their for all your creative needs. Until next time.....

Happy Thanksgiving to all my crafty peeps. I can tell you that I am so thankful today for friends and family. I am also so grateful for my guest designers this year. There has been amazing talent shared here and today we have another amazing designer for you. So without further delay, heeeerrrrreeeeee'ssss DARLENE.......

Hi it's Darlene from Two Scrappin' Lawyers wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm fortunate to be guest designing for Sue today.  I wasn't able to properly photograph My Favorite Things layout, but in my stash of pictures I came across a card I made for a Baptism earlier this year.  I used Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Ovals to get the deep embossing to create a frame for this layered cross from the Indie Art cartridge.  I used a variety of pink cardstock from my stash to make the cross in honor of a special little lady whose day it was.
Hope you like it!!!

Sweet Stamping Treats New Dollar Day Sale

Greetings all and welcome to a fabulous Dollar Digi Day over at Sweet Stamping Treats. I love this wreath as there is so many options for it. Here is what I made:
I decided to use the digi stamp as a tag for a present card. I made the card on my Gypsy by welding the two presents from Doodlecharms (I had to flip one image). The patterned papers are from My Minds Eye. I decided to use real ribbon for present. I colored the digi with colored pencil and marker. I used Distress Stickles on the bow of the stamp and red Stickles for the berries on the wreath. I just love this card and will be sure to make more :)

Thanks for coming by and I hope that you will hop on over to Sweet Stamping Treats to see what the other members of the team have made. Don't forget to encourage your friends to become followers so we can reach 400 and we can have a giveaway. Until next time....
