A Double Post day and an Anniversary

Good morning all :)

Did you all know that I just celebrated my 4 year anniversary? Of my blog posting that is :D I cannot believe that time has gone by so quickly. A lot has changed over the years but my love of papercrafting has not. I have two posts to share today. I hope you enjoy them :)

Crafty Card Gallery's Sketch Blog Hop Day 2

Her Kraft Cre8tions Blowin' in the Wind Design Team Hop

Until next time....

Crafty Card Gallery's Sketch Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day Two of the Sketch Blog Hop. Everyone has had so much fun doing these it's turned into a regular event!

The purpose of this hop is to show how all of these talented bloggers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards. If you've never used a card sketch before, give it a try! You should have arrived from Kristy's blog and if you just happened along the hop, you can go back to the start at www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com

Enjoy the hop!

I was in desperate need for some birthday cards so that is what I chose for my theme. Today I bring you version two.

The best part of this project is that I used more scraps :) I hope that you enjoyed my card. Now I send you off to Miss Jamie. Until next time...

I feel like I should be blowin' in the wind....

Yes, how many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea ?
Yes, how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free ?
Yes, how many times can a man turn his head
Pretending he just doesn't see ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Today's craft challenge for Her Craft Krea8tions was to make something that "blows in the wind". Each design team member received beads, chimes, nightmare fishing line, a jingle bell, and a twirly thingie dooie (that's a technical term!). Everyone was encouraged to add things from their stash to make it their own and to go "green" without buying anything additional!!!!

With this all being said, everyone and the fishing line were not on "speaking terms". Lynne Kirsh had knots galore and would give up and pitch it and her one cat would return it expecting her either to throw again or finish ... your guess is as good as her's! Several never ever want to see fishing line again!!!!! Thus, the grand prize will be 100 yards of fishing line .... ha ha, just kidding!!!! It will be a surprise package to one lucky recipient that remarks on everyone's stop along the way!

Here is my project. Thanks to super Hubby for tying the top threads together :)

Hanging inside
This has definitely been a challenge for me :D Now I hope that you hop on over and see what the other design team members have made. The line-up is as follows:

Coming off a FANTABULOUS day crop....

Yesterday we had a Creative Memories all day crop in Freehold NJ. I had more than 10 wonderful friends that joined me and they inspired me so much that I had to carve out some more creative time today. Well, I had a card order for 4 Fourth of July cards. I started with a card sketch for one and then drew my own. All 4 cards were done in under an hour. Here is what I came up with:

Jolee's stickers were my best friends on these and I used Bazill basics paper. I just need to stamp the backs and send them on their way. Should you have a need for handmade cards for any occasion, please contact me HERE.

I have decided that I need to start working on my "All About Me" book and my Wizard of Oz digital book as well. I hope to bring you many more posts. Wishing you all a wonderful week. Until next time....

Her Craft Kre8tions... Let them eat cake :)

Welcome to June's project for Her Craft Kre8tions. We have been very fortunate to have a wonderful sponsor this month that Scrapbook Society, http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/, has given us this beautiful design, http://scrapbookstampsociety.com/auction_details.php?name=Marie-Let-them-eat-a-Cupcake-Sherri-Baldy-Digi-Stand&auction_id=102614. to showcase our creativity.

Of course there are rules that we implemented that the creativity could finish Marie as they wanted BUT (ok, there is always a BUT!!), it needed to be a journal with an additional image on the inside.

Now, with that being said -- have we got a line-up for you!!!!

For my project, I decided to make this a bit humorous. Here is the front cover (with lots of bling):

I just love the colors as they are quite yummy. Now for the inside I decided to do something a little different. I took my Stampin Up Punch (that gets not enough love) and heart punch. This is going to be a journal that I use. Here is the first page that I will write my thoughts on. Marie can keep a secret, can't she? :D

Didn't I tell you that this is one creative group!!! Oh, yes, we even have some phenomenal blog candy which we were going to have last month BUT (there goes that word again) Miss Lynne had been in the hospital - we are going to have the "kick-off" blog candy for this hop!!!! Thus we have Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge for one lucky winner!!!
Finally, Lynne Kirsch has an altered journal for one lucky winner as seen below!

Now, to be eligible for the blog candy AGAIN, there are rules --- you must stop and comment at each stop along the way which I know you won't mind doing as I know you are going to be having a great time checking out each and every project........

Hope you enjoyed our hop .... and next month we have another challenge that will be presented to our Design Team .... "Like the Wind"!!!

Grab your favorite beverage and sit back & hop along with us!  Here's the sketch:
My imagination ran wild on this one but here is the first card I came up with:
I used my Gypsy to make the die cuts. The hearts are a wheel through Stampin' Up. I used my PSA stamp that I won in a blog hop for the center sentiment. I plan on ordering this new Stamper System through Creative Memories as I love the look of my sentiment. I decided to add some bling too! I just love the colors.

Thanks for stopping by and now I send you off to Ashley. Until next time....

My imagination ran wild on this one but here is the first card I came up with:

I used my brand spankin new Creative Memories Pennant border maker cartridge for the background. I punched the sentiment tag and used my PSA stamp that I won in a blog hop. I plan on ordering this new Stamper System through Creative Memories as I love the look of my sentiment. My friend Cardmonkey was kind enough to share some Action Wobbles with me so the sentiment wobbles! If you have any questions about the products I used, just email me HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and now I send you off to Ashley. Make sure you come back tomorrow for my 2nd card. Until tomorrow...

We're Off to See the Wizard Revisited

We're Off to See the Wizard the wonderful Wizard of Oz to hopefully get the Tin Man a heart, the Lion courage, and the Scarecrow a brain! But there's the poppy fields to beware of as you could get very sleepy! The Wicked Witch but we know she's afraid of water. The flying monkeys . . . just totally freaky looking!!!! You're probably still dizzy from the spinning whirling twirling house and watching all those things passing by like a nightmare expecially that Miss Gulch on her bicycle! Poor Toto hiding in the basket, but can you blame him? Don't pay any attention to the man behind the curtain as he knows not what he speaks! And then there are the delightful munchkins that sing 3 octives highly than humanly possible. I almost forgot the good witch Glinda - how could I forget her --- she was just too sugary sweet to my standards but as a Good Witch goes, she was the best, but why didn't she just tell Dorothy she had the power to return all along and wait until the end - geesh! And then only bad witches are ugly --- come on now! Its the Merry Old Land of Oz! I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore Toto. . . .

We're paying homage to the Wizard of Oz today with our blog hop! So, grab your beverage of choice and those ruby red slippers of yours, click them twice and repeat after me - "there's no place like home, there's no place like home"!

For Blog Candy we have a 7 - piece paper assortment of 12 x 12 pieces of paper by Paper House Productions

We have a great line-up for you today and you should have arrived from . If not, or you just dropped in to visit today, we don't want you to miss a single story of the travels of our "characters" from start to finish and would love for you to begin at the beginning of our hop -

I used my Creative Memories digital scrapbooking software; Storybook Creator. By clicking the link you can get a 30 day free trial. I plan on hybrid scrapbooking by journaling on it in my own handwriting.

As every good story, it has a beginning and a happily ever after - Dorothy went home and all was well with the world and Dorothy told Auntie Em - there's no place like home!!!!!! AWWWW how sweet! Hope you enjoyed my project and I must send you along your way to Gill's blog and a place beyond the rainbow -
