Christmas in July

Today, thanks to some wonderful crafty friends, I got started on some Christmas Cards. The idea started from some Christmas tags my friend Deneen was making. I thought, "What a great idea! Wouldn't it look great mounted on a card?" And then an idea was born. With my Gypsy and George and Basic shapes I set up the tags. The Christmas motifs were a free cartridge from Cricut Craft Room this weekend. Here is the result:

And here is the closeups:

This was my first time using Cricut Craft Room and I am not exactly sold yet. I still love my Gypsy and was a bit disappointed that I could not link my cartridges since I have them linked to the Gypsy. I will have to play with it more to see how I like it.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful week. Until next time....
Welcome to the July Challenge! I love doing these challenges - Jen sends everyone the most random stuff, and we make crafting magic and create these amazing cards! The envelope leads you in a direction... I have to say that this was probably the most challenging envelope yet...

What was in the envelope?

blue foil, zig zags, arrow paper clips, google eyes, 1/2 sheet transparency and a mini envelope. Here's what it looked like:

The rules this time?

Not too many - you don't have to use all of anything but you have to use some of everything. You can make 2 cards if you want.

Well for today I decided to make a scrapbook page. Of course our grandson's picture will be on this layout from his birthday party.

Please stop on by www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com to see everyone's creations. You will be so happy you did. Until next time...

Well for today I made my first card. I saw a sample of a card made with a transparency sheet. This is my take on it:

This will be our grandson's birthday card this year. Please stop on by www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com to see everyone's creations. You will be so happy you did. Until next time...
