We could play Where's Waldo er Susan in this pic.

Stickers from K & Company were fun on this card

Had to pick a new winner today :(

Unfortunately, I never heard from McVic so I had to pick another winner for Day 1 of the Spring Forward blog hop. CelesteB and LizR your prizes are mailed already. Sorry for the delay but between visits and the groundhog being wrong about an early spring, I had to recruit dear hubby to go to the post office (after the window people finally showed up to fix my kitchen window).

With no further ado, the new winner is ERIN G who said......

My favorite birthday memory is how much care my Mom put into our birthday cakes when we were young. One year, she made me a pink cake, and then she handmade marshmallow elephants for on top! This is a trick I can't wait to use with my own kids (the ones I haven't had yet LOL!)

Erin, your 3 birthday cards will be heading your way soon. Congratulations.

Until next time....

It has been a Scrappingly good two weekends.....

I have to say that it has been a crafty good time here in NJ! I have had two weekends with my favorite Stampin' Up friend Julie (Stampin Up Demonstrator: Julie Kudish) and have made some pretty awesome things (if I do say so myself). In addition to that, I had craft time with our niece Vanessa. She will be turning 4 and loved making cards with Aunt Susan. Here are some pics I wanted to share with you:
This is a shaker card made with actual  sand

I just could not resist taking a bite

Here we are hard at work

This was the first layout I have EVER made without having pics already printed
 The next day, I went to the dollar store with my sister in law and my niece in law. We saw this damaged saying and Julie turned to me and said, "You good make something prettier!" Well here is what I came up with.....
 Today I went to a stamping up party for one of the gals in our monthly stamping group. This is the projects we made (card was put together by my dear friend Erin (Comfy on My Cloud):
Very looooonnnggg bookmark

Love this card!

Well as they say in Looney Tunes, "That's all folks...." Until next time....

I am putting out an SAPB......

Good morning all!

I know you are wondering what a SAPB is. Well It is a Scrappin' All Points Bulletin of course. I have had a wild two week visit from my Mom and have not had much free time to post. I am putting out this SAPB for McVic. I need you to contact me with your email address to suenj99 aPublish Postt yahoo dot com so I can get your prize in the mail.

Should I not hear from McVic by Sunday, March 27th at 11:59PM (yes I am stretching it to the last moment), then I will be drawing a new winner and that could be YOU!

I do have another blog post or two up my sleeve for this weekend as last weekend I was blessed to craft with our niece Vanessa (the miracle baby), stamp with my monthly card group (wait till you see what we made) and make a gift for my dear sister-in-my heart to my other sister-in-my heart. So stand by as I now have to go do the dreaded food shopping now .

Happy Scrappin'

Spring Forward Blog Hop Day 3

Welcome to the Spring Forward Blog Hop, jointly hosted by Celeste at Touched by a Butterfly and Lora at Notes from the Scrapbooklady - Thanks for stopping in to see the great spring themed projects designed by all the talented participants.

This blog hop will offer one lucky blog hopper a TWO PART blog candy.  Celeste and Lora have both put together prize packages and will each mail their prize package to the ONE LUCKY WINNER!  The rules are pretty simple - visit each participating blog and leave a comment - a winner will be chosen from among all posts left at Notes from the Scrapbooklady blog and then we will verify that the winner has visited and commented on each blog.  The winner will be posted at both Notes from the Scrapbooklady and Touched by a Butterfly and will have one week to contact Lora or Celeste with a mailing address for their prize packages.

Some of the participants may also be offering their own individual blog candy  - please note their terms and conditions.

I cannot tell you how sad I am to see this blog hop come to an end. I have had lots of fun sharing these projects with you. For my last project I decided on an Easter card. This started as a simple idea but evolved into something more detailed. Here it is:

Do you remember that I told you that I have trouble with layers? Well this one was no exception. I cut the rabbit from the Create a Critter Cartridge. The grass was from Plantin Schoolbook. The stamped basket was a blog hop win and I colored it with Stampin Up blender pens and markers. I used glossy accents for the ears, cheeks and nose. The nose gave me fits as it was supposed to be pink. Well, the paper ripped and I decided to make it all black. Then I hated the eyes and decided he needed googly eyes. The paper was something in my stash for ages. The other paper is Creative Memories paper. I think is is a real cutie!

And now what you have been waiting for... BLOG CANDY! There will be blog candy for each day of the hop. The winner will be picked by my friend Randy; Random.org that is. There are two criteria to win this blog candy:

1. Be a follower of this blog
2. Leave a comment under this post

The blog candy will be an L&M Storytellers pack

How much easier can it be? Winners of all the blog candy will be picked the evening of Monday, April 14th. Now onto your next stop... Amy Jo at http://lv2scrapandfibrofacts.blogspot.com/. Should you get lost along the way, here is the list of all stops:

Spring Forward Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to the Spring Forward Blog Hop, jointly hosted by Celeste at Touched by a Butterfly and Lora at Notes from the Scrapbooklady - Thanks for stopping in to see the great spring themed projects designed by all the talented participants.

Today's project was something that started small and turned into something beautiful. I have wanted to try an altered art project. I was standing in line at the local chain store and found this:
Now if you like frogs then this would be a great journal BUT this fellow did not make me happy. So I bought this for $$1.00 and decided it needed and EXTREME makeover! So out came my handy dandy tools:
Now you DO NOT need a Gypsy to do this project. Here is the list of supplies you need:

* Mini journal book for $1
* Glossy Accents
* Cricut Classic Font and Hello Kitty Greetings Cricut Cartridges
* Black and coordinating yellows (for the sun)
* Plain and coordinating pattern paper (for book cover)
* Basic Grey Fabric Blooms
* Scotch ATG gun
* Provocraft Cricut Expression and Gypsy (nice but not necessary)

Here is the recipe for the cuts:

* Floral cover - cut paper 12"w x 7"h
* Binding strip - cut paper 2.5"w x 7"h
* Sun - Shadow is 3"w x 2.89"h/2nd layer (dark yellow) is 3"w x 2.89"h/Top layer is 2.69"h x 2.89"h
* Words - My is 2.51"h x 1.82"h (welded on Gypsy) and Journal is 5.2"w x 1.79" h (welded on the Gypsy)

Now here is the pictorial play by play:
First I cut my two main pieces in the dimensions listed above. I then set up my paper on my mat to cut the pieces of the sun. I have to admit that I still struggle a bit with the layering of certain cuts sometimes. I have to admit he is a cutie though :) Lastly, I cut the pattern paper in half and wrapped the binding around the journal and held it with a rubber band so it would be easier to glue the next day. And here is the finished result:
I decided that the sun needed a little help. I took the googly eyes from the ladybugs (see yesterday's post) and added them. I also used Glossy accents to add some shine on the black. I used a fine point black pen on the letters and adding a Stampin Up rhinestone as the dot on the J.  I am quite happy with the way this turned out.

And now what you have been waiting for... BLOG CANDY! There will be blog candy for each day of the hop. The winner will be picked by my friend Randy; Random.org that is. There are two criteria to win this blog candy:

1. Be a follower of this blog
2. Leave a comment under this post telling us what your favorite part of Spring is

The blog candy will be this journal that I made for the hop and floral sticker embellishments.

How much easier can it be? Winners of all the blog candy will be picked the evening of Monday, April 14th. Now onto your next stop... Tina at Scrapping with Tina. Should you get lost along the way, here is the list of all stops:

Enjoy the hop! Until tomorrow.....
