Get Inky Sketch Challenge

Oh Happy Day! It is our first Sketch Challenge for the Get Inky Challenge Blog. I so enjoy sketch challenges and this one stretched my imagination. Since Easter was just around the corner (and hubby usually gets a handmade card), I made that the theme of this sketch:

I fired up my Cameo Silhouette and got started. Here is the card that I made with the sketch:

Do you recognize the "LOVE" stamp under Happy Easter? Well that is from Blue Moon Creations Joyful Jar Drinks. There are 25 stamps included in this set and I used it in my scrapbook page shown HERE. I also have another idea for this stamp set that I will share at a later time.

Since I liked this sketch so much I made another card:

For this one I cut the frame with my Silhouette Cameo. The little bunny was a digi stamp we received for Easter and I turned him into a Print and Cut with that feature on Cameo. I sponged the frame. The two borders were cut with my Creative Memories Border Maker System and the Frame Chain Cartridge. The bling is from Close to My Heart.
Now come and play along with us. Challenges will take place every other week. This challenge will start April 1st and run to the 14th. Unless you are on our Design Team, you don't need to use Blue Moon Creation Stamps or Digis to play along, but we love it when you do! Normally, the DT will pick a top three, and a random winner will be picked for a free digi stamp by Blue Moon Creation. BUT for this first challenge, everyone who enters will get a digi stamp. You may enter up to three creations, because we love to see your creativity shine! We do ask that you link back to our challenge in your blog post, and that your post is not backdated on your blog. So come on over and play along with us at the Get Inky Challenge Blog.

Purplies DT Project: Easter/Faith Post

Good morning all :)

Today I am posting my Design Team project for Kari's Purplies. The theme is Easter/Faith post. Well, I have always read a book to them about the true meaning of Easter. Just like Christmas, Jesus is the reason for the season. Same thing for Easter. For this project, I decided to make a glass pendant necklace. Here is the result (sorry for the pics but it is hard to get a good night shot):
This led to these gifts:

I also made another but that is for another hop. So you will have to come back and see it on the 1st. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will hop on over to Kari's blog to see what the other Purplies have made. Until next time...

Happy Easter from our home to yours.....

Happy Resurrection Day to all those believers. It has been a wonderful weekend for sure. I wanted to share a quick card I made at our monthly group on Sat and two funny pics of my oldest's first easter egg hunt. Yes he is 21 but never participated in one. If you all don't know we are a blended family. He found the golden egg with $5 in it and gave it to his younger siblings so they could get something at the store for themselves. I am so blessed with a wonderful family. Here are the pics first:

This card was a simple one but I got to play with one of my favorite tools - the CRIMPER :) All papers are Stampin' Up:
Remember to come back tomorrow for the start of the "Lordy, Lordy Look Who's 40" blog hop. Until next time.....

Happy Scrappin'

Scrappy Jak March Card Challenge

Well, all. This is going to be a short and sweet post. I am quite ill and need to get to the Dr. It is the end of the month so I got out of work really late. I did not get to post these in time for the drawing but wanted to share them all the same. Here they are:

We could play Where's Waldo er Susan in this pic.

Stickers from K & Company were fun on this card

Spring Forward Blog Hop Day 3

Welcome to the Spring Forward Blog Hop, jointly hosted by Celeste at Touched by a Butterfly and Lora at Notes from the Scrapbooklady - Thanks for stopping in to see the great spring themed projects designed by all the talented participants.

This blog hop will offer one lucky blog hopper a TWO PART blog candy.  Celeste and Lora have both put together prize packages and will each mail their prize package to the ONE LUCKY WINNER!  The rules are pretty simple - visit each participating blog and leave a comment - a winner will be chosen from among all posts left at Notes from the Scrapbooklady blog and then we will verify that the winner has visited and commented on each blog.  The winner will be posted at both Notes from the Scrapbooklady and Touched by a Butterfly and will have one week to contact Lora or Celeste with a mailing address for their prize packages.

Some of the participants may also be offering their own individual blog candy  - please note their terms and conditions.

I cannot tell you how sad I am to see this blog hop come to an end. I have had lots of fun sharing these projects with you. For my last project I decided on an Easter card. This started as a simple idea but evolved into something more detailed. Here it is:

Do you remember that I told you that I have trouble with layers? Well this one was no exception. I cut the rabbit from the Create a Critter Cartridge. The grass was from Plantin Schoolbook. The stamped basket was a blog hop win and I colored it with Stampin Up blender pens and markers. I used glossy accents for the ears, cheeks and nose. The nose gave me fits as it was supposed to be pink. Well, the paper ripped and I decided to make it all black. Then I hated the eyes and decided he needed googly eyes. The paper was something in my stash for ages. The other paper is Creative Memories paper. I think is is a real cutie!

And now what you have been waiting for... BLOG CANDY! There will be blog candy for each day of the hop. The winner will be picked by my friend Randy; Random.org that is. There are two criteria to win this blog candy:

1. Be a follower of this blog
2. Leave a comment under this post

The blog candy will be an L&M Storytellers pack

How much easier can it be? Winners of all the blog candy will be picked the evening of Monday, April 14th. Now onto your next stop... Amy Jo at http://lv2scrapandfibrofacts.blogspot.com/. Should you get lost along the way, here is the list of all stops:

12.Amy Jo at http://lv2scrapandfibrofacts.blogspot.com/ <---- NEXT STOP
13. Yolie At http://www.justyolie.com/

Enjoy the hop! Until next time.....
