Royal Tea Bridal Shower Blog Hop - Day 2

Her Royal Highness, Card Monkey, has graced us with this amazing Royal Tea Bridal Shower Blog Hop. If you have come from Jen's Blog then you are on the right track. If you would like to start at the beginning, you can go back to Ellen's blog. We have a fantastic group of bloggers participating so you don't want to miss it. This is a momentous occasion and brings me back to my childhood. Watching Charles and Diana marry stayed with me to my own wedding. Once the wedding is over and William and Kate have returned from their honeymoon, they are going to have a daunting task of sending thank you's. That is why I chose to make a thank you card for the second day of our hop. Here we go....
As you can see, the scrunched ribbon is on this one too! All supplies used here are from Stampin' Up. The technique that was used is faux linen. I think I am going to do a video on this one. The colors are difficult to judge in the photo though. Thanks for joining us to celebrate the wedding of the century and best wishes to the happy couple.

We cannot have a bridal shower without presents! I know I will be offering one for my faithful followers. You will have the chance to win a gift card from AC Moore or Michaels. I do not believe that they are international so unfortunately this will have to be open to US residents. There are only two criteria to win:

Here we have a simple layout that I created using items I had in my scrapping stash. I do not tend to do layouts without pics in mind. This is the second time I have done so and like the results. I used the brads to give the flowers some bling. The borders at the bottom corresponded well with each other and the balloons added a nice flair. I am not sure who's birthday I will be using this for but I am sure it will mark a momentous occasion.

Royal Tea Bridal Shower Blog Hop - Day 1

Her Royal Highness, Card Monkey, requests your presence for the Royal Tea Bridal Shower Blog Hop. We have a fantastic group of bloggers participating so you don't want to miss it. Since we did not receive our invitation for William and Kate's nuptials, let's have our own soiree. Thank you to Ellen for bringing us together for this historical occasion.

Here is the lineup just in case you find yourself detoured:

I had such an amazing time creating a project for this hop that I actually made 2! Who doesn't like a party and I love tea. So I made sure I combined both for these for my projects.

The teapot is a cut file for my Pazzles machine. I shadowed it with black to help it stand out. The stamp is from Stampin Up as are the pearls and ribbon. The ribbon was actually folded using double sided sticky tape. Doesn't this make you feel like you could have tea with the Queen Mother. Now where's my crumpets? ;)

This next project is elegant enough to give to William and Kate. It actually was made in mind for a co-worker that is getting married this year. The sentiment and flourish were both cut on the Pazzles and the hearts were cut and embossed with my Sizzix die and my Cuttlebug. The silver hearts were heat embossed with Stampin Up embossing powder and I used my wheel for the first time. The bling on the flourish is more glitter glass. The card base is one of the Creative Memories card I bought in the pack.

Today is a blast from the past day. This is a card I made awhile back. I cannot say that it is my favorite. I like the glitter that was to represent the sprinkles. I also used Glossy accents too! This cupcake was made with my Cricut :)

Today's project was made with some different supplies. I decided to pull out my Pazzles machine and find a cupcake. I decided to use my scraps on this too. The card base is from a Creative Memories pack that I bought from a day crop (shout out to Alice), The pearls are Stampin' Up and my current obsession (shout out to Julie). I used Ranger stickles on the edge of the cupcake and the dots are mini pearls. I thought this was a perfect way to celebrate Jenn's birthday.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget that I am offering blog candy at the end of this hop.  You will receive a $10 gift card from Michael's or AC Moore (your choice). I love my Scrapping friends.....

"It's friendship, friendship, Just a perfect blendship....."

Ok, I just indulged in one of my secret pleasures... the broadway musical! Any musical will do thanks. When I was younger, I could bet out the songs from Sound of Music, West Side Story, My Fair Lady, etc in the confines of my bedroom. I wish I had the confidence back then to pursue it but, alas, it was not meant to be! Maybe one day who knows. But on a serious note, I do have the best scrappin' friends around. We got together yesterday (after a long day) and talked an scrapped. Truth be told, we did more talking than scrapping but these ladies are good for my soul.

I am running out of pictures to scrap so I decided to work on a layout for our grandson's 2nd birthday party. He is such a cutie pie! Of course the L&M Storytellers folks came though again. I am tempted to try and take one of their digital classes at one of the Expos that they will be at. Here is Elijah's 2nd birthday layout. Grampa and Gramma love you buddy :)

Well, off to get my next post ready for the Lordy, Lordy Look Who's 40 Blog Hop brought to you by Jenn of Carstock and Coffee. Hope to see you there! Until later.....
