Na Na Na Na Na Na..... today is your birthday....

Greetings all! Sue B here sharing a birthday card I made for my Baby Bro who turned 30 (boy I am old!). I always try to do something Beatles or The Joker from Batman. This year I am doing both. Here is the card that I made:

I am in love with the Trace and Cut on my Cameo Silhouette. The stamps I used were from Close to My Heart (Curlicue Alphabet Birthday stamp sets from the Artfully Sent and Artiste Cricut Collections) I really like how this came together and I pop dotted the Happy Birthday Banner. Well, I am off to cut The Riddler's Question Mark now. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you soon. Until next time.....

Who(s) having a birthday

Greetings and salutations!

I had to delay this post so that I did not spoil the surprise. January 30th was our son's 17th birthday. He has done so well at school and is such a loving boy that we decided to do something special for him. We hosted a Doctor Who themed birthday party. We had given  him his birthday present early (at Christmas actually) so this was our little gift for him. We invited his close friends and planned it all in secret (yes I am sneaky lol). I wanted to make a Dr Who themed card and had to do it in Cricut Craft room with George and Basic shapes. Here is the fruits of my labor:

The stamp set I used was from the CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut Collection and the ink was CTMH's Outdoor Denim Exclusive Ink pad

I am so glad that we could make this day special for our son. Happy Birthday David.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next time....

Fishin' for a Happy Birthday...

Greetings all. In preparation for the Snowzilla storm they are expecting for the East Coast, I decided to make a card after prepping (aka food shopping and gas for the snow blower). One of the Giveaways from the 2015 My Favorite Things Crop with Cropper's Delight was from The Pearl Girl AKA Michelle Paolercio Borsack. As soon as I received the multi-colored pearls, I knew I had the perfect use for them. And here it is:

It allowed me to use a Stampin' Up stamp set I have had FOREVER, scrap paper and my new Washi tape (Silver Geometric from Close to My Heart). I used colored pencils and metallic gel pens to color the stamp. I just love it!! Thanks Michelle for your generosity that inspired my creativity. Please check her out on Facebook and share the love. Until next time....

Where I've been Hiding :)

Greetings all!

I must be doing something wrong as I have not gotten anything created recently (besides starting a new fitness regimen). So I think it is time for me to give back. Since my birthday is in 2 days, I decided to do a giveaway this month. On my website (suenj.ctmh.com), I have an Online Party going. If you place an order in any amount this month, you get entered to win this stamp set.

So come on by and join the festivities. I look forwarding to giving away a present in honor of my birthday. Winner will be announced on October 4th. Until next time....

Holy moley guacamole, I cannot believe my baby is now 16! He was the last but the biggest and brings me a lot of joy (he is a comedienne). Here is the birthday card I made for him:

Happy Birthday David!!!

Welcome back to my second post for Crafty Card Gallery's blog. Today is my youngest son's birthday. 15 and much taller than all of us. It is incredible how time flies. Here he is as a little boy with his sister:

And here he is looking like a man (with his siblings)!!

Since he is a HUGE video game fan, I knew this card in the Silhouette Store was PERFECT!

I used some embellishments that I bought for some Christmas cards. I am enjoying using my Cameo so much that I am sure we will become fast friends. I hope that you will take some time to wish David a "Happy Birthday!" I will be back later in the week to bring you another card.Until next time...

Every girl both old and young alike love to be a "Princess" and we really aren't old to believe we are a princess. Today's hop is going to include our favorite Princess with clues and then the final reveal with our project displaying which Princess we are --- NOW, the question is, how well do you know your Disney Princess.

There will be blog candy of course --- your very own Princess Crown and a Piecing Project of your favorite Princess by remarking on each stop on the royal kingdoms along the way!!!

Some day my Prince will come but, I will always have my crown as these princesses have for you along the way:

Well, for my clues to the identity of my favorite princess are:

1. She lost her voice
2. She longed to be part of His world
3. She always had something fishy going on

Who am I?

Well if you guessed Ariel AKA the Little Mermaid. You are right!!! Here she is:

Last year I had a Princess hop for my birthday and this year I want an Ariel birthday. I am a kid at heart after all :) I found this cake that just looks delish:
And what is a birthday party without goodie bags. So I decided to make two different kinds to choose from. One is your standard goodie bag with some sea treasures (AKA gummies):
And the other is a Cubeet Ariel. The treats go inside of the boxes:
I have to say that I am leaning towards the traditional as the cubeet is a bit of a pain to put together. I hope you enjoyed your stop here and now swim on over to the amazing Colleen :) Until next time.....

2. Amy: http://www.lovetocrop.com/ <-- NEXT STOP

Welcome, welcome to you for visiting me for my birthday blog hop. Day 1 was an amazing one with loads of inspiration and I know that day 2 will be the same. I am so fortunate to have amazing family and friends to share my birthday. Each year around this time I get to spend time with my parents and extended family and we have a BBQ. My cousin Tabitha made me the most amazing birthday cake. Since we knew that I was spending this time with them, I decided I wanted a special momento. Since I am crazy over explosion boxes and Disney princesses I decided to combine the two. I followed the recipe at this website:

Here are some pics for you :)

And here is the box opened. I will add pics from my birthday BBQ:
I wish I could show you all the layers. I used a lot of Disney papers, Bazzil papers and Jolee Embellishments. The castle in the center was an inspiration given to me by my friend Lynne. I was moaning that I did not have a princess cartridge or girlie girl cartridge and she reminded that Life's a Beach has a castle. Well I made it into a princess castle instead :) I love the pearls on it!

I want to thank my fellow hoppers and our wonderful sponsors for making this a dream come true. Thanks also to my co-hostess with the mostess Lynne who held my hand to organize this hop. Now I send you off to the talented Amy. Happy Hoppin!

Look Mom what I made......

Doesn't that blog title take you back? I can remember at a very young age being creative and sharing that creativity with my Mom. As a little girl, I would share with her all my school projects and these little felt frogs I liked to sew together. There were the weaving loom potholders I would make her and she started me with crewel embroidery and we grew together with other needle crafts as well as quilting. She even kept the UGLY egg carton ornament I made in Kindergarten and hangs it on the tree every year!

Has our story always been blissful? Nope. BUT, as an adult, I have come to love my Mother and have a deep respect for her. She means the world to me and I am thankful to have her in my life. Today is a very special day for her. It is her birthday and I cannot be there to share it with her. Although we live 6 1/2 hours apart as the crow flies, she is never far from my thoughts and prayers. Happy Birthday Mom. We love you with all our hearts and can't wait to see you! Here is a picture of Mom and Dad:
So in honor of Mom's birthday, let's have a "Look Mom what I made" moment
All the projects together
It is supposed to be a pencil. I need to add silver near the eraser and ribbon with a tag
Two types of flowers that we learned to make
I thought this was the coolest since these are so popular right now
So I hope you all enjoyed these projects and I will have another post to share later today. Until later....

I love my Scrapping friends.....

"It's friendship, friendship, Just a perfect blendship....."

Ok, I just indulged in one of my secret pleasures... the broadway musical! Any musical will do thanks. When I was younger, I could bet out the songs from Sound of Music, West Side Story, My Fair Lady, etc in the confines of my bedroom. I wish I had the confidence back then to pursue it but, alas, it was not meant to be! Maybe one day who knows. But on a serious note, I do have the best scrappin' friends around. We got together yesterday (after a long day) and talked an scrapped. Truth be told, we did more talking than scrapping but these ladies are good for my soul.

I am running out of pictures to scrap so I decided to work on a layout for our grandson's 2nd birthday party. He is such a cutie pie! Of course the L&M Storytellers folks came though again. I am tempted to try and take one of their digital classes at one of the Expos that they will be at. Here is Elijah's 2nd birthday layout. Grampa and Gramma love you buddy :)

Well, off to get my next post ready for the Lordy, Lordy Look Who's 40 Blog Hop brought to you by Jenn of Carstock and Coffee. Hope to see you there! Until later.....

I made a video!

Go figure :D I was so proud of my first Gypsy made card that I decided to make a video. My hubby (our resident photographer and videographer) was kind enough to film it. He will be editing it (as only he knows how) and it should be posted by Sunday.

A very dear friend of mine is having a birthday and this card was inspired by her. We used to sit and color in our Winnie the Pooh coloring books. I am proud to call her my friend even though we are now old . Well, I am off to Blog Hop with The Pink Stamper (http://www.mypinkstamper.com/). Until next time....

Happy Birthday to my Daughter....

This post goes out to my daughter who turns 16 today! The years certainly fly by and I am very blessed with a wonderful road. For the teenage years it has been relatively unbumpy . Thank goodness I can still remember me at 16 so I have more patience. I don't put pictures of my kids on my blog so this one will have to do.

Isn't she cute? This is from one of our favorite movies. When she turns 21 then I will have to choose Belle from Beauty and the Beast (she is not a redhead like Ariel; our other favorite). Well enough on that. In honor of this day, I decided to do a teensy weensy giveaway. The winner will receive a small embellishment pack. All you have to do is be a follower of this blog and post a comment about your favorite birthday memory. I will use Random.org to pick the winner next Friday the 29th (gives more time for everyone). Good luck!

Mine was when I turned 6 years old. We moved to a new house from an apartment and there was a block party going on. Well, there were those jumpy things, cotton candy and a D.J. I thought it was my birthday party! That year I also got a tea set and a Fisher Price record player. So now, please share yours.

Well, duty calls and I must run to work. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Until next time....

Happy Scrappin'

Aaaaarrrghhhh, it is my birthday treasure! Part 1

As I promised yesterday, I wanted to share the pictures of the items that I received for my birthday. I had fun shopping and soon I will be spending my Stampin Up gift certificate. That will be part 2 of this post. Here we go....

This is the scrapbook page that my daughter surprised me with. Isn't she talented? Of course I am partial

Here are the pics of my AC Moore goodies....

And here is the Cricut cartridge that I have been wanting for the longest time. I tried to win it 3 times on Ebay and I was unsuccessful. Thank goodness! :)

I have already cut out the apple, the frog and the dragonfly. I designed some card sketches that I will be adding these to. Those photos are to follow.

Well, that is all folks for now. I am off to make a card for a yellow and buttons challenge :)

Until next time.....

A photoless post....

It was a loooooooooooooonnnnnnnngggggggggggg back to work after a 10 day vacation. I had a PHENOMENAL vacation and birthday festivities. I was so fortunate to have my scrapping girls and their families come for a bbq on the official day. I was happy for their company and that would have been enough but I also got presents. I received the Cricut Create a Critter card, an AC moore gift card and a gift certificate from my favorite Stampin Up Demonstrator (and dear friend). I will have to take a pic of what I have made with the cartridge, the items I bought with my gift card and will be sure to post what I get from Stampin up. I have my eye on some new paper at the moment. . I even got handmade cards. I have such talented friends!!!

My daughter surprised me with a beautiful scrapbook page for my birthday. I can't wait to share it with you as well. Pics will have to follow after my work week is done. I hope that this post finds you all well and hope that you have a wonderful week! Until next time....

Happy Birthday to Me

Good afternoon all! I trust this blog post finds you very well on this extended holiday weekend. This past week I was on vacation and I do not go back to work until Tuesday. It was a very special week as I got to spend it with my parents in Virginia Beach. We had my birthday bbq (or cookout as it is known down South) with all my cousins and my Aunt Lori. It was a wonderful time and my cousin Tabby's homemade cake was delicious (I keep saying she needs to start a business!). My birthday is not officially until tomorrow but I thought I would share what I was given and what the cash gifts I received that was invested in future creativity. The best is that I have some b-day cash left and a Target gift card as well (thanks to Wendi, Jason and Quinn). Target usually has some scrapbooking items so I plan on checking it out! Now drum roll please :D

This is a picture of the paper, stickers and magazines that I bought from AC Moore. There was a great paper sale and I used the coupon to buy the 3 lb paper pack for 40% off. My wonderful son went with me and used his coupon to buy me the magazine from England.

These are the pics of everything close up! Thanks to Mom, Dad, Aunt Lori, Monica, JD and Austin for the funds to have fun!

Here are the gifts I received from my cousins Christine, Billy and Carter. You can never have enough albums or paper. I love bling and butterflies too!

Last but not least I got the cutest note pad from Sabrina, Chris, Avery, Ryan and Layna that will get a lot of use at home and at work. I need humor frequently throughout the day

I am downstairs in my craft area getting ready to use my Pazzles die cut machine. I have some ideas that I want to play with so I will need to get busy. I will be sure to share these later. Until then....

Happy Scrappin'
