Purplies Design Team: An Inspirational Flower

Happy President's Day everyone. As you can see I have been a busy beaver lately; 3 projects in one day. Of course this one I had a little glitch. The challenge was to make a flower. Well I made a flower and it looked very lonely. So I mounted it on a card. Well, I was just supposed to make the flower and not put anything on it. So I have two things to share. One is my flower I made for the challenge:

I used my Mother's Day bouquet cartridge to make this rose. I am fascinated by roses (or any flowers) that have the colored edges. I wonder if they put them in food colored water??

I love roses but the flower that had the most impact for me was a Hawaiian hibiscus. I went to Hawaii for the first time when I was 19 and left my heart there. I would live there if I could. Here is the flower mounted on a card. This will be a birthday card for my best friend.
Two flowers made with the same cut but different. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will stop by Purplefuntastick Creations to see what the other Purplies have done. Until next time...

  1. Absolutely beautiful flowers my friend!!!! Its a beautiful card and I know your friend will enjoy the love you put into the card as it makes it extra special!!!
Wonderful being a "Purplie" with you my friend!!! Always a pleasure hopping together!
    Hugs, Love, and Pixie Dust

  2. This is a beautiful card. I too love flowers and have found that the inking on the edges really make a big difference in the look. thank you for sharing your design.
