It is beginning to look like a Cricut Christmas...

and oh what a nice one it was. I even got to play with the new addition yesterday! Thanks to Mother Nature dumping over 2 feet of snow Sunday into Monday, my office closed, I took the opportunity to watch a Gypsy video and link my cartridges. I have to take baby steps. And lookie what I used to make 2 cards and a mini chipboard album (which will be in my next post):

Here is my non-Cricut gift that I plan on putting a Scrapbook Organizer app on to keep me straight when I shop:

This year the #1 item that our daughter wanted for Christmas was contacts. Since I could not wrap it and did not want to just make a coupon, here is what I made with my Pazzles machine:

I was quite proud of myself :) I cannot wait to get more acquainted with my Gypsy and Expressions and thank my wonderful family for making my Christmas special. Now bring on the new year! Until next time....

We wish you a Merry Christmas, We wish You a Merry Christmas....

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all who celebrate this day. It was a bit melancholy without my Mom and Dad here but at least I have them to talk to. I even had our traditional Christmas Eve dinner, pasta with seafood. YUMMY!!! Of course, since we are all being healthier I skipped the Italian bread and dessert. Right now I am having my salad.

Tomorrow will be a great day and I can't wait for the kids to open their presents. So until next time, I leave you with this:

Good tidings to you,
and all of your kin.
Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Snow Much Fun....

Well, thankfully the snow went out to sea and we had a reasonable day. Cold but it is December. I am so glad that the only snow we have is the snow on these pages. This was a class that I took with the Iris paper folding for a scrapbook page (I had done this for a card once). If you want to try this, you can check out this site:

Basic Iris Folding Instructions

Now onto the pages. This is a two page layout using Stickles, Distress ink on cotton, and tear paper technique.

I will definitely be taking a class with this teacher again. The next one is a Penguin Envelope album. :) I certain hope you try this technique. Until next time....

It's a Wonderful Life......

Today was a craftingly good day! I wanted to get some cards made today and it was a smashing success. I got a few done and wanted to share them with you. These cards were made with a retired Stampin Up stamp set. I decided to emboss them, and add a little bling.

Next up are the cards for my kids. This is the first year that they will get homemade cards. I sure hope they like them. They were made with the Peachy Keen Stamps that I won in a blog hop. I hope I did them justice.

Last up is a card that I made with my son. This was his first experience with the Cricut and he loved it. When I told him there was a Robots cartridge he got very excited. We also saw the new cartridges coming out, Best of Pixar and Disney Classics. And now that he knows that there is Cricut Vinyl for decals I think he is hooked

Maybe we can be a Mother Son design team! Well, it is off to spend family time. Until next time....

Can't sleep in.......

Today was the best day to sleep in. Nothing pressing to do this morning and needed the extra z's after a busy work week. The sad thing is I can't. Nope, not my internal clock waking me up but two things; first is that I wanted to post this yesterday and, second, my craft room is calling me. So resistance is futile; blog post first and creativity next.

I hope this post finds you and yours extremely well. This week has been a long one after DH having surgery last Friday (he is recuperating quite nicely) and the end of the month approaching at work. During this time I was blessed to receive two of my blog hop wins that I spoke about in my previous post. I wanted to share the pics with you. Here is the Peachy Keen Stamps that I won and I will be using these angels on my kids Christmas cards. It amazes me when something beautiful comes out of tragedy.

If you notice on the packaging it states that the proceeds from the purchase of these stamps (purchased between Nov-Dec 25th) will be given to the Make a Wish Foundation. So please visit http://www.peachykeenstamps.com/ if you wish to order these stamps for a wonderful cause.

This box came the day after my husband's surgery. We are rarely apart and the two days he was in the hospital were very difficult. After 10 hours in the hospital that day, I came home to a very large and heavy box. I was amazed and unwrapped each package with my daughter. I can't wait to play with all my new toys :) Here is what the box contained:

Thanks so much to Lisa (http://our2angelsinheaven.blogspot.com) and Dorcas (http://4craftyangels.blogspot.com) for making my week a little brighter. Well, it is time to get motivated. I pray to have some cards to show you a bit later. My oldest wants my help in making a card later so we may have some extra special cards to show :) Until next time....

My first feature...

I was so happy to share my cards with another wonderful blogger. This is actually the first time I was featured on someone's blog. It was such an honor. Please pop over to Scrappily Ever After's blog and show her some blog love. Here is the link to the blog with my cards and dimensions:

Here are close-ups of all the cards that I made for this feature

All of these are made with scraps. So how about a challenge for some blog candy? Tis the season of giving after all. The theme is C'mon Get Scrappy! Here are the rules:

1. Create a holiday card (any holiday will do) using only scraps

2. Become a follower of this blog

3. Post a comment to link me to your card

Since this is a busy time of year for many, I am keeping this open until 10 AM EST, December 31st. A winner will be picked via Random.org. Should you be that person, you will have your choice of holiday blog candy or everyday blog candy.

I plan on having a creative weekend. So there will be more to come :) Until next time...

I am finally starting to work on a goal...

I have always wanted to work on weekly challenges and now, thanks to Love 4 Stamps (http://love4stamps.blogspot.com/p/monday-challenges.html) challenge list, I can. I lost a few hours due to taking a nap but I did manage to get some cards done. Here is one of them:

This is a second one also :) I loved this card so much I made a few of them.

Since it is now November 29th, I can also share my Scrappy Jack November cards. These were so much fun to do and my Pazzles got a workout.

I have 2 more challenges that I want to complete but they will have to wait as work will be here tomorrow. Until next time....

* My papercrafting - which gives me an outlet

I hope that you all found a reason to be thankful today. I hope to have some new projects to share soon. Until next time......

It has been awhile and I have missed blogging....

Greetings all! I hope that this post finds you all well. I have been busy with work and have had little crafting time. I did get to spend some time this Sat with a dear friend and made an awesome project. I will have to post a pic later as I am still cameraless. I am seeking to remedy this soon. How do you all photograph your wonderful projects? Inquiring minds want to know

Friday will be DH's birthday and I cannot wait to celebrate on Sat! I am blessed to have such a avid supporter.

Since I have been blog hopping lately, I thought it would be appropriate to ask for my followers to share their own website/blog addresses. So feel free to post your links. I enjoy seeing other's works. Well, off to bed I go :)

Until next time.....

A Sunday School Inspiration!

Tomorrow is my day to teach Sunday school. I was unable to become a regular teacher (not due to lack of effort on my part) but I am very happy to teach the preschool class at our Church. I love the innocence of the age as they are like little sponges! Well, I was trying to decide what craft to do with them and since it will be International Day, I thought of love. Loving one another in fact. The "tag" was cut from the Pazzles using their shapes resized to 3" and the ends rounded and the cross was cut an 1.5". I was able to cut out a whole 12 x 12 sheet with a simple copy and paste. So here is what I came up with:

I used this as a sample as I really did not love the lettering . We use Veggietales for the younguns' so "Are You My Neighbor?" is the choice of the day. Well, all the hearts I punched out gave me a simple card idea. This, literally took me less than 5 mins to put together. The only thing I would change is the lettering. I would use small letter stamps, small letter stickers or cut out letters on the Cricut or Pazzles.

I think I will have to make a video soon showing how quick and easy it is. I will have a new adventure now. To learn to us my Gypsy! :) Until next time....

In NYC.....

I am very happy to share this layout with you. It kind of took on a life of it's own. I do not think that I have ever made a layout this large. I still have to do the fair pictures but I will need to save that for another day. These pics are from my cousin's trip North. They wanted to go to New York City to see the Nintendo store, FAO Schwartz and Lego World! St. Patrick's Cathedral was a bonus! I wish I could have scrapped it all! NYC holds a lot of great memories for me.

These pages were made with either the Pazzles or the Cricut. Here you go.....

All the letters were cut with my Cricut. The lego blocks were cut files for my Pazzles, the stickers are Jolees Boutique.I love bling as to me it represents NYC .

This next project I wanted to share with you is a Red and Magic challenge that was given to me by my partner in crime, Erin. (You can check out her blog at http://comfyonmycloud.blogspot.com/) We have a timeshare in Florida and her and her husband took a little vacation. When I think of red and magic I think of Mickey and Minnie. Well, I got Spiderman . I immediately came up with this idea. I dislike working with chunky glitter. I might need to try Martha Stewart glitter. I like microbeads too.

This was strictly a Pazzles projects. Even the font. I have definitely gotten my monies worth with this machine. I love the brads for the spider's eyes! I outlined the letters with a silver paint pen. Thanks to Erin for the inspiration! Now I hope that you are inspired as well. Until next time......
