Today my card is made with the Iris Paper folding technique. You can read more about it here (http://www.iris-folding.com/). Thanks to my wonderful videographer husband, we have the second installment of Susana's Scrappin Corner. Roll movie.......
This template shows you how the papers will be laid down for this simple Iris Paper folding technique. I actually designed all the segments on the Gypsy so it allowed me to cut multiples with ease. If you do not have a Gypsy, don't worry. My original card I will show was made with my paper cutter and an Exacto knife to cut out the center square. Here is what you will need:
* Colored cardstock cut 4" x 5" (approx)
* Light colored patterned paper cut into 4 - 2.5" x 2" strips
* Darker coordinating patterned paper cut into 4 - 2.5" x 2" strips
* Adhesive or Scotch tape (I recommend adhesive)
* 4.25" x 5.5"Card base in a complimentary color
And now the moment you have all been waiting for... BLOG CANDY. We are currently at 86 followers per my Dashboard. There is not one offering but TWO. Winners will be picked by Random.org. There are only two requirements. One is you must be a follower. Second is that you must leave a comment of course. Due to high postage rates, I will have to limit this to our US and Canada blog followers (I apologize for this). So do you want to know what you can win? Sure you do! The prize for hitting 100 followers is an L&M Storytellers scrapbook pack. I raved about this company in my post from the day crop I attended. The second prize just for this hop is a complete kit for you to make your own Iris paper folding card and the sample I made for this video. Winners will be picked the evening of Monday, February 28th and posted on my blog. I hope you have enjoyed your stop here and wish you lots of fun! Hop on over to Janice's blog (http://cricutology.blogspot.com). Remember if you want to start from the beginning you can go back to Ellen's blog (http://cardmonkey-business.blogspot.com). Happy Hopping and until next time......
Happy Scrappin'
