In NYC.....

I am very happy to share this layout with you. It kind of took on a life of it's own. I do not think that I have ever made a layout this large. I still have to do the fair pictures but I will need to save that for another day. These pics are from my cousin's trip North. They wanted to go to New York City to see the Nintendo store, FAO Schwartz and Lego World! St. Patrick's Cathedral was a bonus! I wish I could have scrapped it all! NYC holds a lot of great memories for me.

These pages were made with either the Pazzles or the Cricut. Here you go.....

All the letters were cut with my Cricut. The lego blocks were cut files for my Pazzles, the stickers are Jolees Boutique.I love bling as to me it represents NYC .

This next project I wanted to share with you is a Red and Magic challenge that was given to me by my partner in crime, Erin. (You can check out her blog at http://comfyonmycloud.blogspot.com/) We have a timeshare in Florida and her and her husband took a little vacation. When I think of red and magic I think of Mickey and Minnie. Well, I got Spiderman . I immediately came up with this idea. I dislike working with chunky glitter. I might need to try Martha Stewart glitter. I like microbeads too.

This was strictly a Pazzles projects. Even the font. I have definitely gotten my monies worth with this machine. I love the brads for the spider's eyes! I outlined the letters with a silver paint pen. Thanks to Erin for the inspiration! Now I hope that you are inspired as well. Until next time......

A Scraptacular Halloween Card Challenge (and giveaway)

courtesy of my friend Scrappy Jak on Facebook. I got a little overzealous on this one and had originally posted in on Facebook too early. I deleted them and was able to repost them yesterday. We were given the paper and ribbon and we were to come up with our own design. Here is what I chose....

The pumpkin is my favorite because of his googly eyes. The spiders remind me of one of my favorite childhood characters, Charlotte, from Charlotte's Web.

Don't forget about the birthday blog giveaway in honor of my daughters birthday. All you have to do is be a follower of this blog and post a comment about your favorite birthday memory. I will use Random.org to pick the winner next Friday the 29th (gives more time for everyone). Good luck! I will have another post for you all with another great layout! Until next time....

Happy Birthday to my Daughter....

This post goes out to my daughter who turns 16 today! The years certainly fly by and I am very blessed with a wonderful road. For the teenage years it has been relatively unbumpy . Thank goodness I can still remember me at 16 so I have more patience. I don't put pictures of my kids on my blog so this one will have to do.

Isn't she cute? This is from one of our favorite movies. When she turns 21 then I will have to choose Belle from Beauty and the Beast (she is not a redhead like Ariel; our other favorite). Well enough on that. In honor of this day, I decided to do a teensy weensy giveaway. The winner will receive a small embellishment pack. All you have to do is be a follower of this blog and post a comment about your favorite birthday memory. I will use Random.org to pick the winner next Friday the 29th (gives more time for everyone). Good luck!

Mine was when I turned 6 years old. We moved to a new house from an apartment and there was a block party going on. Well, there were those jumpy things, cotton candy and a D.J. I thought it was my birthday party! That year I also got a tea set and a Fisher Price record player. So now, please share yours.

Well, duty calls and I must run to work. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Until next time....

Good morning..... where's my tea

I just wanted to post a quickie before running off to work for a staff meeting. Welcome to all the new followers! If you are not a follower, please join us for the fun. I think that some blog candy is in order. So how about if we double our current number then it will be giveaway time? Since I am a little type A, let's make it 75. 75 followers and it will be prize time. So refer your family, friends and acquaintances for a chance to win some blog candy :)

Also, if you have a blog of your own, please fee free to put in in the comment box. I love to share :)

Well, the reminder rang for me to leave for work. I plan on being quite creative this weekend. For now I leave you all with this question:

For those who participate in online challenges, how do you manage to get them done on time

OR (if you don't do online challenges)

What do you prefer for blog candy, stamp sets, paper or embellishments?

Until next time....

One lonely little page....

When I went to put the 4 page layout in my album (see previous post), I realized that I had a blank page. I conveniently had a single picture to use (which I rarely do). This picture was from a long time ago. My daughter will be 16 on Friday so this takes me back :)

It is amazing how time flies! I cannot believe it. I hope you enjoy this layout. I had a blast putting the paper flowers together with Stampin Up Brads. Until next time......

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood :)

It is a brisk Fall Day here in Jersey. The leaves are changing and leaving the trees. It is a day that inspires creativity. We are having company today so there will be no more creating today but I wanted to share this 4 page layout that I did from our visit to the Tuckerton Seaport. We do not get out too often (our schedules don't permit it) but when we do it is wonderful. The paper and embellishments come from L&M Storytellers monthly pack:

I am looking forward to some cardmaking later but for now I am looking forward to good food and great company. Until next time....

Da Blog needed a makeover!

I decided in honor of fall to change the colors of my blog. I hope to one day get a blog designed for me. Maybe that will be the same day I find my rich uncle who will support my scrapbooking endeavors. Any philanthopists out there wanting to adopt me? . Off to get new glasses for my daughter and to pick up pics to scrap tonight. I am thinking of trying Walmart.com for digital pages to embellish soon. Anyone have any comments to share? Digital, traditonal, hybrid? Inquiring minds want to know :) Until next time....

Woohoo.... I finally got a challenge done on time (sort of)

Happy Columbus Day to our US scrappers and Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian Scrappers! There were two challenges this week; one for Scrappy Jak on Facebook and one for My Pink Stamper. I decided to make one for each!. Same design and technique but two different die cuts and embossing powders. I wish you could see the detail of the qhite embossing powder to make the snow shiny. Since I don't have a digital camera I had to scan them. I hope you enjoy it. Until next time.....

Supplies: Want 2 Scrap die cuts, Stampin Up embossing powder (white and silver), Inkadinkadoo embossing powder (pearlescent), blue, white and teal cardstock (Michaels or AC Moore)

I got over zealous this week......

it was World Cardmaking day and I wanted to celebrate. Scrappy Jak's challenge was pumpkins so I combined the kit of the month with this week's theme. Since I can't post them until the 25th II have never been this early before), I thought I would share some of the other cards I made :)

Of course these are Create a Critter dinos. There are so many cool critters on that cartridge :)

So please stand by for the cutest Halloween cards I made on 10/25! Until next time....
