Bitten by the Love Bug - Get Inky! Stamps Inspiration Post

Happy Day all!

The newest challenge over at Get Inky! Stamps is titled Birds, Bees, Flowers, Trees, Moon Above, and LOVE and is based on the Jewel Akens song. As my wedding anniversary is coming up, I took this opportunity to make my anniversary card. I used the Love Bugs (grass and ladybugs) and Whimsical Moon and Stars (heart) stamp sets. Here is my card:

The sentiment and the lady bugs were done with my Stampin' Up Black embossing powder and colored them with my Stampin' Up Markers (Pretty in Pink, Yoyo Yellow and Real Red). You can shop for Stampin' Up items HERE. The Designer Print Paper is from Kathy Davis Studios (Butterfly Promise) and the brads are from Kathy Davis' Happiness Collection. I was feeling a little under the weather this morning and decided to put together some scrapbook pages. I have a list that is longer than I care to admit of pics needing to be scrapped but at least I am getting them accomplished sooner than later. All the layouts above except the dog one I made myself. The one with Tina and Juliet I bought from a very talented friend awhile ago and just printed pics for it. Now onto a card that I have to get done and then some scrapbook pages. Hoping for another Dexter marathon today when hubby is finished with his current video project (Our son David's first marching band performance @ Freehold Township High School). I am very grateful to have all these wonderful memories to preserve. Until next time.....

My Wild and Crazy Guys

Good afternoon all. Did you notice I said afternoon? I am home sick today and thought I would take the opportunity to post pics of two pages I did several weeks ago. I love technology from the couch with my pillow and blanket. I have been getting organized (somewhat) and scrapping old pictures. These two layouts are from pictures taken in Virginia Beach 2011. I love visiting there and can't wait to call it my home. Here are my sons mucking it up outside of Five Below:

We also love a visit with the VA cousins. Here is David playing video games with his cousin Josh.

Both layouts were done with Close To My Heart's Paper and Embellishments. I added a little color to the arrows with my Sakura Gelly Roll metallic pen. I hope to get more scrapbooking done soon. Perhaps when I can leave the couch. Until next time.....

Guest Designer for Get Inky! Stamps

Greetings all:

I have to tell you that I LOVE cupcakes. All shapes, sizes and flavors. To me they are just the right size for a little sweetness. So when I learned about the cake challenge from Get Inky! Stamps, I knew I had to come up with something special. Well it had to be extra special as this was a card for someone special. I used the Sew Sweet Cupcakes stamp set and took out some paper I bought "just because". I stamped the image twice so I could layer and make it seem like frosting. Here is my card closed:

Of course my Cameo Silhouette came in handy. The brad holding the card open is from Kathy Davis Studios Happiness set. I am looking forward to another day at KD Studios soon.
