Pink Buttons and Bows Card Blog Hop

Photobucket

Welcome to our blog hop today!!! Its Lynne's granddaughters first birthday and what better way to celebrate is with a little help from her friends and having a party! A beautiful baby girl with all pink buttons and bows thus we will be celebrating first birthdays using the color theme pink with a dash of buttons and bows not to mention a splash of bling.

Sit back, grap a cupcake and punch and enjoy Lily's first birthday. If you just happened upon my blog by mistake, I want you to get your big girl shoes and panties on and start at the beginning which is Lynne at http://slasewcraftiness.blogspot.com/. SEW, if you came from Lynne's blog then you are in the right place.

For our blog candy, it is going to be a pink package with buttons and bows of course with a bit of splash of bling and Stickles by becoming eligible with just leaving a comment on each baby step along the way and becoming a new follower if you sew desire!! How easy is that!!!!

This is a pretty flower for a pretty little girl. Lilly is always smiling and daffodils always remind me of smiles. I embossed with my Cuttlebug and used my new Stampin' Up ribbon for the first time. The little button is also from Stampin' Up. Now here is the surprise on the inside...

Thanks for stopping by and Happy First Birthday Lily! Your next stop along the way Kari's blog

Claire the Tear Bear

Top O' the Mornin to ya! Today I get to be guest designer for Crafty Card Gallery again. I had a first this past week that I wanted to share with you all. I organized a get together for some local Facebook friends and one very talented member is Staci McD of Precious Memories Scrapbooking and More taught me to make a tear bear. I was so enamored with this technique that I named her Claire. I designed the card background and added a bow and necklace for her. A girl is all about the bling for sure! The embossing was done with my D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder. The shamrock was cut from Designer's calendar at 3/4". Here she is:
I definitely need to make more of these! Thank you for stopping by today and I will try to have one more project up my sleeve for you. Until next time......

Guest Designer: Michelle Ferris

Holy smokes!!! Today I am blessed to have Michelle as our guest designer today. She is such a wonderful papercrafting artist that I am excited to share her post with you. So without any delay, here's Michelle

**********************************************************************
Thank you Susan for having me as your guest designer today! It is an honor to do this.

I have been making cards for just 3 years now. I have learned so much and have sooooooo much more to learn! LOL. This card is a double pocket card that is super easy to make. If you want instructions I would be most happy to give them!

I don't know the name of the plaid paper, but I purchased it in Holly Lobby a year ago. The dark green is a textured paper , the skin colored and black are from scraps. The Leprechaun's head , hat, shoes and Cloverleaf are cut from Paper Dolls Dress Up at 4" St. Patricks Day is cut from Designer Calender at 2.5". Tag is from Plantin Schoolbook cut at 4.5" and so is the end cap used inside as a decoration.

I don't have the info on the Happy stamp either.
I used black glitter glue on the hat band and shoe buckles and heat embossed gold on the hat buckle and Happy St. Patricks Day. I used the Irock and stuck on some green bling! I hand cut his hands on each side of the Cloverleaf. Face is from Peachy Keen stamps. Ribbon is from 3 Girl Jam and the color is Mistletoe.
This Little character has shinned up the Clover to give you a saucy wink! He just knows on Mar. 17 we all WISH we were Irish!

Thank you so much Michelle for being guest designer today. I know I definitely want to learn how to make this! I hope you get a blog soon so you can inspire more people :) Until next time...

Purplies Design Team: Sketch Challenge

Hi all... I am going to keep this short as I have a fantastic guest designer today. The Purplies DT was given the sketch above and I ran with it. I am still in St. Patrick's Day Mode so I used that as my theme. I made this card for a friend to give to her boss. Here is the front:
The sentiment says, "Follow Me To the Rainbow's End".

And here is the inside:
As you can see he is a Heineken drinker. I think I need to start making my own sentiment stamps. I hope you enjoyed my cheeky project. Please stop by Kari's Blog to see what else everyone  did with this sketch. Until next time....

JME Creations Design Team Project

Hi all.... this is a brief post as I have to get to work. I had so much fun with this butterfly challenge. I got to use my new Stampin' Up candy poly bags and a cartridge I have not used before; Indie Art. My sons loved the extra Nerds as I bought too many boxes (Better to be safe than sorry I always say). Here is the final result:
I hope you will hop over to JME Creations and see what the other team members have made. Have a great day all :) Until next time....
Greetings all and thank you for stopping by. This week I get to be guest designer for Crafty Card Gallery. I met Jenn on Facebook and am in love with her Ipod touch app. If you have not seen it yet, please check it out. I decided to branch out for this design team assignment.
I so wish I had a cartridge that had an elegant black cat but necessity is the mother of invention. I took the cat from Mini Monsters cartridge and hid it's features with my Gypsy. Once I cut it I decided that she needed bling and some googly eyes. I am in St. Patrick's Day Mode so I decided she wanted an Irish derby hat. She is sitting in some grass waiting for her dinner. I know I am so looking forward to my corned beef and cabbage. I think I am going to make Irish soda bread this year as well. I hope that you will stop by during the week and see what else I will have to share. Until next time...
