As promised, the fruits of our labor

While Nicole joined us to make robots on the Cricut for her bulletin board at school, Erin and I were working on some other projects. I am glad that my Cricut got some use though. Here are some of the projects we came up with.....

These are cards Erin worked on. As you can see she is obsessed with buttons! She even said they are buttonlicious

I made some cards too but the most important project to me was my scrapbook page. This was for my Uncle Bill (Mom's brother) who passed away suddenly. He was a career Navy man and served his country as a sailor and then a civilian. The Navy paper came from Beach Scrapbooks in Virginia Beach. Here it is...

These next projects were my versions of the button cards. The pink one will have a die cut flower for sure....

And last but not least is a card I made from an apple die cut from my Pazzles machine. The ribbon (like the one on the pink card was a gift from Erin.....

Well, that is all folks (for now). Hopefully tomorrow I will dig out my card sketches and continue my portfolio. I am seriously considering applying to be on a design team or submit some cards to magazines. Does anyone have any insight into this? I would love to hear from you. Until next time.....

Welcome to our new followers :)

I am so glad you stopped by. Today is going to be "ME" day. My friend and future business partner is arriving for several hours of scrappalicious fun! I have some things ready but we usually go off on a tangent. My Cricut will be coming out of hiding for sure as well (poor thing is being neglected). I have to cut something with my Pazzles too.

I have come to the realization that I could run my own crop/swarm out of my house with all the tools I have here. For now, our get togethers work for me. If you have never used meetup.com, you may want to try it out. Search for scrapbooking, paper crafts, whatever to join a group. There is a NY/NJ/PA group that I REALLY want to go to one of their events. I think I will put that on my wish list .

Well all, off I go to prepare. Project posting will come later. Have a wonderful Saturday!

A Fantabulous Crafting Weekend......

and oh what a weekend it was! After facing down the end of the month at work (which is always a killer) I attended my friend's Stamping Up Catalog Blowout Party on Thursday, my friend Erin's Stamping Up party and a few hours of cardmaking with Erin on Saturday! Here are the fruits of our labor :)

This is the card we made at the catalog party.

This was a card from Erin's SU party

And here is the cards we made in a few short hours after dinner and Rita's ices :)

My 1st venture with glitter.

This is a brand new stamp Erin bought. We used a Sizzix embossing folder for the background, paper flowers that I found at the Scrapbook expo.

This is a closeup of one of the two cards that I made using the Sizzix Big Shot, a Quickutz flower die and the double sided sticky paper. It was fun! This was my favorite one. I have to say that I may try micro beads as I am not crazy about the mess.

This is #2. I was limited with the glitter colors but was going for a daisy look.

After cutting out flowers with the Slice for my Sunday school class, the cartridge had a photo corner cut file. Erin had this extra piece of cardstock and I threw the corners on it and decided it looked great. I ran with it with some Stamping Up ribbon and cut the "dream" out with the Slice as well.

This was the last two cards of the night. More glitter and sticky paper. The puzzle ribbon was a find at AC Moore yesterday. The flower on the green card came from the Scrapbook Expo.

So overall it has been a very productive weekend :)

Until next time.....
