I am so excited that Crafty Card Gallery's Design Team is back and I am here to share my take on this month's challenge. I have to say that it is good to be back. This month the challenge was if you have nail polish on your fingers or toes - do a card with that color in it... If you don't have any on now - use Blue, Pink (my current color) or something with sparkles in it..... on your card... Well, since I don't have nail polish on I went with option B but used Blue, Pink and Sparkles! I recently attended the Scrapbook Expo in Somerset, NJ and purchased my supplies just for this project. Here is my card:
Let me tell you that this was so easy! Krazy Kreations was at the Expo showing how to make your own glitter paper and how to color on it. Well I was a chicken and bought the glitter paper and the Outline Stickers (these are by Elizabeth Designs). I mounted the outline stickers on the white glitter paper, got out my markers and went to down. I like my little blue bird of happiness. As soon as I took this picture, I filled out the card for the parents of my son's girlfriend. They are so kind to our son, I wanted them to know we appreciate it.

Hey ho to all my faithful followers :)
Today is a fun day over at Jen's digi stamps. We are sitting around the table being thankful for the talents and blessings we have been given. For the party today, I decided to alter a $1.99 picture frame from Michaels. Originally I wanted to paint it but just love this paper. So Elmer's Extra Strength spray adhesive and I had a meeting and the spray adhesive won . Don't get this stuff on your hands as it does not want to come off! I colored these stamps and learned something new. You can color with crayon and then highlight with marker. I used Crayola. I was happier than a pig in a mud bath! I used this technique on the pumpkins in the basket. The picture is from a Thanksgiving quite a few years ago as my younger cousin is now a senior in college (Lord I am OLD!). On the topic of sketches, each month we are given a sketch and color scheme by our friend and local consultant Julie. This month there were 3 squares and then a sentiment on card front and the colors where brown, pink and green. This month I managed to get all 3 colors in on one card . Here are the results. We are supposed to make 5 cards but since only 4 fit on the Cricut mat I did 4. Normally I come home with 1 or 2 extra so I am not worried.
I designed the card fronts to have the 3 squares cut out on my Gypsy. This is the first time I have ever done it and think it is great! I did the one iris paper folding card and decided that I must have been crazy as I was not working off a template. I love coloring these images and they are from a SU set I borrowed from a friend.
I am enjoying working from sketches very much. You can get the general idea so feel free to cardlift it :D Until next time.....
